JAEGER has appointed Collette Brown as its new head of womenswear design.
Brown - who has previously worked for Bally, Pringle and Dolce & Gabbana - arrives at Jaeger from fellow British label Burberry, where she has held the position of senior designer for the last five years.
"We are delighted that Collette Brown is joining us from Burberry," Stewart Birnie, executive chairman of Jaeger said."Collette's expertise will be extremely valuable to the business and we look forward to working closely with her on the design and development of Jaeger's womenswear collections."
The announcement completes what has been a year of change for the label. In April this year it was sold for almost £20 million to Better Capital, a Guernsey-based investment company.
"The board is pleased that Jaeger has a new owner in Better Capital, thereby securing the future of the business," Jaeger said in a statement at the time."The investment that Better Capital has provided will create a strong foundation on which to further develop our iconic brand."
