Chanel thieves smash into Brompton Road London store with a car
On Sunday night there was a robbery at the Chanel boutique on Brompton Road in South Kensington, with on-lookers claiming that a car drove into the shop front.The news was broken by none other than Lindsay Lohan, who posteda picture of the smashed shop front on Instagram.
She posted a picture of the aftermath with the caption:"Say a prayer someone went through the window!I hope they"re okay!I mean I love my#CHANEL@chanelofficialbut this person meant business."
Another user on Instagram posted a picture of the shop writing:"Crime scene: break-in at Chanel boutique on Brompton Road#Londonall bags gone ❗a car drove right through the window last night."
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a burglary took place at the store in the early hours of the morning.They said toGetwestlondon:"Police in Chelsea and Kensington are investigating a burglary at a business premises on Brompton Road, at approximately 03:40hrs on 25 January.A car was reported to have driven into a window at the front of the store allowing the suspects to gain entry."
There is no news yet about how much damage has been done.
